It’s with great sadness that we report that Micky Fitz, singer with Oi legends The Business, has died after a year-long fight against cancer.
Over the past year Fitz had been receiving treatment for lymphatic cancer.
Founded in 1979, The Business became one of the most significant street punk bands in the UK and, after a succession of 7″ recordings, debuted their first album, Suburban Rebels, in 1983. Members came and went, but Fitz remained a significant constant, his assured stage presence and sharp sense of humour defining the band as they continued to record and tour globally.
He will be missed.
Well hello there!
