Technical death metal quartet Revocation have signed a deal with the legendary Metal Blade Records and are already working on a new album.
The Boston, Massachusetts band only released their self-titled fourth album last August but have never been ones to wait around too long between releases. Therefore it wouldn’t be too surprising if their as-yet-untitled fifth album hit the shelves before the end of this year.
The band’s superbly named vocalist/guitarist David Davidson said: “We are very stoked to announce that we have signed with Metal Blade! We are all extremely proud to be a part of a label with such a long history and legendary roster. Currently, we’re in the studio recording our fifth full length album with Zeuss at the helm. This is the start of a new chapter for us and we are so thankful for all the support that we’ve received from the underground that has gotten us to this point in our career.”
That’s the same Zeuss who has worked with everyone from 3 Inches Of Blood and Municipal Waste to Suffocation and Agnostic Front. He won’t be completely unfamiliar with Revocation either, having produced their 2012 EP Teratogenesis.
Metal Blade Records are obviously delighted to have Revocation onboard and their president Mike Faley added: “We are excited to be working with Revocation. Their tireless work ethic combined with world class musicianship and extreme technical metal has Revocation at the forefront of the scene. Metal Blade looks forward to being a part of their team and helping Revocation achieve future success.”
Revocation tour the US and Canada throughout May and June alongside their new label mates Whitechapel and Rivers Of Nihil, as well as DevilDriver, Carnifex and Fit For An Autopsy.
