Just when you thought they must have ran out of ideas, Nunslaughter return! The band with a mammoth catalogue of releases, splits, EPs and whatnot is back, sharing a 7″ EP with –relatively- newcomers Acid Witch. The split is titled Spooky and is out via Hell’s Headbangers.
Hell’s Headbangers, obviously chuffed, tell us what to expect: “If ever there was a perfect Hell’s Headbangers 7″, this would be it: a spilt 7″ EP between two of the label’s most signature bands, Nunslaughter and Acid Witch! Always giving value for money, this split 7″ features two exclusive tracks each from both bands. Acid Witch are up first with the churning cauldron boil of ‘Evil’. Then, Nunslaughter closes out Side A with the punny ‘Spooky Tails’ – but funny this haunting dirge is not! Nunslaughter opens Side B with ‘A Sordid Past’, a ripper of the highest order. Finally, Acid Witch returns to close out the record with ‘Fiends Of Old’, one of their most aggressive, hard-charging songs to date.”
Nunslaughter were formed in 1987 in Petersburg, Pennsylvania. They name their brand of blackened deathrash devil metal. Acid Witch formed in Michigan, 2007 and play a great mix of psychedelic doom and death metal.
