Poland’s long running death metal squad Gortal will enter Progresja Studio in Warsaw in June to record their sophomore, as of yet untitled album. The follow up to 2008’s “Blastphemous Sindecade” is scheduled for an Autumn release via Pagan Records. The cover artwork will be created by Michał “Xaay” Loranc, who has previously worked with such bands as Nile, Behemoth, Armagedon, Trauma and many more.
The band’s guitarist Major issued ZT with an exclusive statement: “The way we put our new songs together have changed bigtime lately. With all band members participating, especially our drummer Desecrate who had huge influence on the writing process, expect some really balanced stuff!
We already have an idea on how the album is going to sound. The production will be better, stronger, more organic and analog than on the previous one.
And the songs will be really diversified. You can expect heavy, badass slowdowns next to blastbeats we’re known for. And at least one slow song. We’re going to record 8 to 10 tracks altogether, closing in at no longer than 40 minutes”.
