London’s top three-day grind festival Chimpy Fest has confirmed a massive 19 bands in its first announcement for 2014’s incarnation of the event.
American grind violence duo Water Torture will be making one of their first appearances in Europe at the festival, while it will be legends of Spanish grindcore Nashgul’s first appearance on these shores with their new vocalist. Gore-grind masters Spasm from the Czech Republic and two Dutch outfits in Matka Teresa and Paralysed Society will also be coming over from the continent.
Plenty of UK bands are on the bill too, with Scottish powerviolence pioneers Sufferinfuck and English troops Armour Of Contempt, The Atrocity Exhibit, Confine and The Day Man Lost. There’s still more though, with the crust drenched Winds Of Genocide, more powerviolence from Gunfinger and Mangle, and of course some added grindcore courtesy of the superbly named Wheelchair Wheelchair Wheelchair Wheelchair (thankyou copy and paste!).
At the slightly ‘lighter’ end of things hardcore/punk will be provided from Razoreater, Selfless, Disfortune and Hate Fuck. Expect it to get as messy as a baboon after eating Vindaloo.
Chimpy Fest takes place from August 15 to 17 at T-Chances, London. Tickets and prices are yet to be released. For more information check out the Facebook event here.
