Experimental weirdos Locrian have announced their first foray into Europe, as well as the release a new video accompaniment to ‘Two Moons’, taken from their Relapse Records debut, Return To Annihilation.
Locrian, the Chicago based band that have spent the last 8 years marrying the worlds of drone and noise with metal, have made public a new minimalist and dreamy video for ‘Two Moons’ from the recently released Return To Annihilation album. You can watch it here, at the Relapse Records Youtube page.
The video coincides with the announcement that the act will play their first European show at next year’s Roadburn Festival in April. The statement from their Facebook page reads: “In a true coup, we are thrilled to announce pitch-black experimental avant-drone trio Locrian will be enshrouding Roadburn Festival 2014 in their blackened pall. Playing what will be their very first show on European soil, the grim Chicago post-industrialists will be bringing their nebulous drones, uncomfortable ambience and buried black-metallic shrieks to Het Patronaat in Tilburg, The Netherlands on Thursday April 10th.”
