BRUTAL TRUTH WRAP IT UP IN STYLE

Heading in to their demise, commanders of all things noisy Brutal Truth have announced their upcoming, final European tour. In addition to this, the band has unveiled a brand new video for the ‘song’ The Stroy.

Danny Lilker, bassist for Brutal Truth and one of the people that best fit the description ‘veteran’ in the underground circuit, released a statement in January that by now has become internet sensation (so much so that he gave an interview to explain it further!). The statement is that he is retiring from active musicianship (all touring and most bands included) in the following year. This is a move that leaves Brutal Truth looking forward to ending their career virtually flawless.

Danny Lilker’s statement also left time for the band to embark on a final tour, and that is what they are doing. Among the dates that have been confirmed and others awaiting confirmation, Brutal Truth will be playing at Bristol’s Temples Festival on 2 May 2014. Lilker dialled in the following: “OK people, this is it! The last Brutal Truth UK show! Unlike that well known and loved British icon Ozzy, when we say we’re done, we’re done! Come on down and grind with us one more time. Love, Dan Lilker”. Other European festivals confirmed are Neurotic Deathfest (3 May 2014- last ever Netherlands show) and Hellfest (21 June 2014; their last ever show on French soil).

In addition to announcing their final tour dates, Brutal Truth have also unveiled the brand new video for the track The Stroy. The Stroy is taken from the recent release from Brutal Truth – the bone-crushing split with Bastard Noise, 2013’s The Axiom of Post Inhumanity. The split album, drummer Rich Hoak promised, would “fry your brain”. Both the CD and LP formats of the release contain entirely different sets of music from both bands while the digital version collects all of the tracks onto one compilation.
