With only eight more days to go before Hell-Born’s comeback album Natas Liah will be released via Odium Records, the Polish old school metalheads unleash their second single “Blakk Metal” onto the world. Nergal, well-known frontman and mastermind of Behemoth, contributed guest vocals to this compositions of his long-term friends.
The involement of Nergal comes as no suprise, since Hell-Born consists of musicians Baal Ravenlock and Les, two artists who were both (founding) members of Behemoth in the early 90s. As one can fathom from the rather telling name, ‘Blakk Metal‘ is supposed to be a hymn and a homage to the old metal scene in Poland and to the days when this musical revolution took place. So, it seems obvious that there couldn’t have been a more suitable song on the album for the three friends to gather together as musicians.
While the song title ‘Blakk Metal‘ suggests a very specific sound, Hell-Born are actually careful to stray from the overall atmosphere of their album and the approach to their music. Natas Liah as a whole as well as its individual compositions want to transport the listener back to those days when the borders between black, death, and thrash metal were fluid and not really in existence.

Hell-Born recorded Natas Liah in the Creme De La Creme Studio together with producer Haldor Grunberg who is, among others, famous for working on Behemoth’s I Loved You At Your Darkest and Blaze Of Perdition’s The Harrowing Of Hearts.
