ZT EXCLUSIVE: LORD VICAR’S COMMANDING FIST

“Sign of Osiris Slain”, a new song from doom metal all-star band Lord Vicar, is now available for streaming online at THIS LOCATION.

“This song opens our sophomore album ‘Signs of Osiris'”, explains guitarist Kimi Kärki in an exclusive statement for Zero Tolerance Magazine. “I wanted it to begin gentle and sophisticated, but become a direct and commanding fist to the face, with a middle part that brings some creeping and filthy slowness into the mix. And I think that’s exactly what was achieved! After all, this song represents the violence — the general theme of the album — at its most straightforward way. The album is way more ambitious musically than the first full-length, ‘Fear No Pain’. Because of this musical diversity, I wouldn’t say that this song captures the essense of the whole musical body of the album, but it rather opens one window to the world of Lord Vicar anno 2011 e.v.”

“Signs of Osiris” is set for release via Germany’s The Church Within Records on October 31st. The band will play a release-show 6th edition of Hammer Of Doom Festival (October 28th – 29th) in Würzburg, Germany. A tour is planned for April 2012.
