WARBEAST ANNOUNCES FILL-IN BASSIST FOR GWAR TOUR

Texas based thrash band Warbeast has announced that Casey Orr (Rigor Mortis/ex-GWAR) fill handle all bass duties for the band’s upcoming North American dates, including their CD release show and the trek supporting GWAR.  This string of dates, entitled the “Fate or Chaos Tour,” is comprised of 16 tour dates through the month of April.  This announcement comes just a few weeks after the band’s former bassist, Andre Karst, decided to part from the group due to his inability to tour.

Commenting on the line-up switch, vocalist Bruce Corbitt (also of Rigor Mortis) said “Obviously we are all psyched to have Casey on board for this upcoming tour with Gwar and Wilson.  I’ve always respected Casey’s professionalism, abilities and musicianship from our many years together in Rigor Mortis.  This will be a natural and comfortable fit for Warbeast. Plus he’s still buds with all of the guys in Gwar, so this tour will be a blast… to say the least.”

Casey Orr commented: “I am very excited to accept the challenge of playing bass for the mighty Warbeast! I’m looking forward to crushing skulls with my brothers in the Beast, and I’m totally stoked to be bringing the thunder on the road this April, supporting my Scumdog family – Gwar.  Texas Thrash will Destroy!”

Warbeast recently announced the release of their sophomore album, “Destroy,” due to hit the streets on 2nd April via Phil Anselmo’s Housecore Records.  As a celebration for the release, the band will take the stage on 6th April in their hometown of Fort Worth, Texas at The Rail Club.  The album was produced by Anselmo at his Louisiana based Nodferatu’s Lair in May and July of 2012.
