Progressive thrashers Voivod are releasing a song book which will include guitar and bass tablature for their 1988 album ‘Dimension Hatröss’.

The tab book, which is limited to 100 copies, is available to pre-order now and will start shipping on May 1st, 2012.

According to a press release, the book contains “Bass and guitar transcriptions of the 4th album, ‘Dimension Hatröss’, by current Voivod guitar player Dan “Chewy” Mongrain [Martyr]”.

In other Voivod news, the kooky Canadians entered Pierre Rémillard’s (Cryptopsy, Krisiun, Misery Index) Wild Studio in St-Zénon, Quebec in January to commence recording their new album for a possible summer release.

The record will feature the band’s first music to be written with Mongrain, following the death of original guitarist Denis “Piggy” D’Amour in 2005.

Voivod are also headlining this year’s Roadburn Festival, performing ‘Dimension Hatröss’ in full.
