Blackened death metallers Diabolical are premiering the first single and music video ‘We Are Diabolical’, taken from their sixth studio album Eclipse, which is set for release on February 15th via Indie Recordings.
More than 20 years after their formation in northern Sweden, the innovative death/black metal hybrid has created Eclipse, a concept album which reflects on the dark side of humanity which, according to their press release, aims to ‘force the listener to explore his own diabolical side’.
With high production values, some impressive hair swinging and a track that seamlessly blends brutality and melancholy, the music video for ‘We Are Diabolical’ serves as a satisfying taste of what’s to come from the full album – and it’s got a little twist in its tail. As mentioned earlier, the band will hit European roads in 2019 for a punishing run of shows in more than 30 cities across the Old Continent, alongside Septic Flesh, Krisiun and supports. The tour kicks-off in Essen on March 8, but the full list of dates are shown below (although there’s no UK date so far, which is a shame!).
