Never one for subtlety, New York’s own Brutal Truth have premiered their new video for ‘Malice/Fuck Cancer’, taken from their latest release ‘End Times’, at Metal Sucks. As you would expect from Kevin Sharp and Co. they have gone for the no holds barred approach, bombarding the viewer with an assault of political and ecological disaster images, including a very nice shot (you need to be quick to spot it) of the incident at UC Davis involving student protesters being pepper sprayed by police. Further proof (as if any was needed) of the bands reputation as middle finger wielding, anti-authoritarian, awareness raising, disciples of extremity.
The video was directed by none other than Tyson Montrucchio, who previously offered his skills to the visual accompaniment for the song ‘Sugar Daddy’, amongst his other work with the band.
Coinciding with this, is the news that the band will be adding themselves to the bill of Nazum’s final tour, honouring the memory of the Swedish grinders fallen singer Mieszko Talarczyk, who tragically lost his life in the Indian Ocean tsunami of 2004.
You can check out what the bands label Relapse, describes as the “epilepsy-inducing society-hating politically-charged” video for ‘Malice/Fuck Cancer’ here.
