Aged 58, Gary Moore, the renowned guitarist in Irish legends Thin Lizzy has passed away in a hotel room in Spain while on holiday. The reason for his death is unknown as of yet, but it is thought to be natural. Eric Bell, who departed from Thin Lizzy to be replaced by Gary Moore said he was still “in shock” at the news.”I still can’t believe it, he was so robust, he wasn’t a rock casualty, he was a healthy guy.” Making a name for himself not only through Thin Lizzy but also a solo career and collaborations with other musicians, Gary Moore took part on 20 studio albums. A statement on his official website says: “It is with deep sorrow and regret, that we have to announce that Gary Moore passed away while on holiday in Spain last night. Our thoughts are with his children, family and friends at this sad time.”
