TECH FEST COMPLETE LINE-UP

tech fest 2Tech Fest, the UK’s only festival dedicated to tech-metal and its offshoots, has revealed the newly reformed SikTh will be headlining the event’s Sunday night.

As well as that fellow progressive metal outfit Monuments will be Saturday’s headliners, joining the already announced Vildhjarta on Friday and a whole host of other technical/progressive/experimental metal acts including The Ocean, The Haarp Machine, Gorod, Devil Sold His Soul and many more.

In a brief statement SikTh says: We are stoked to announce we will be headlining this year’s UK Tech Fest! Hope to see you all there!”

Funnily enough Monuments are also pleased to be given their first headlining slot.  The band says: “We are happy to announce that we will headline UK Tech Fest on Saturday, July 12th! This will be the last show before we leave for North America … make sure you come down and support/drink with us!”

SikTh announced in December 2013 that they would be returning to the stage, headlining the Red Bull stage at Downoad. One of the UK’s prominent tech-metal bands before disbanding in 2007 their headlining status for Tech Fest was a shoe-in.

Also announced was acoustic guitar abuser Jon Gomm as a replacement for Glass Cloud who had to pull out of the festival.

Tech Fest takes place at Newark Showground between July 10 to 14. Tickets cost £59.99 for the full weekend (with an additional £20 for camping) and are available here.
