SEVENTEEN MORE BANDS FOR BLOODSTOCK!

10352592_254824058054215_2460971952736378688_nIt’s almost June and with just 11 weeks until the big event at Catton Park, the organisers of Bloodstock Festival have generously announced another batch of bands to play across all stages!

.

First up, hitting the main stage will be newly renamed, Entombed A.D. After having to change their name from just ‘Entombed’, LG Petrov and his fellow band members are once again ready to let the music do the talking after a year of internal struggles. They release their new album ‘Back to the Front’ on 4th August via Century Media and are eager to get back on the road. LG had the following comments on their BOA slot, “England! Long time no see!! And what better way is there than to come to play at Bloodstock Festival in August! We are looking forward to meeting all you headbangers again!”

.

For the Sophie Lancaster Stage there are 4 new bands added from this announcement. Set to rock on Thursday are British trad metalheads Monument! Also joining them, with their own brand of theatrical madness and extreme metal, are former ‘Metal 2 The Masses’ winners, Gehtika. Bringing an international flavour on Sunday are death/thrash troupe Krow from Brazil. Along with them you can expect something a little different, in the form of 16-year-old blues artist Aaron Keylock, performing his solo-act.

.

Along with these acts, 6 killer bands have also been slated for the Jagermeister stage. Bloodstock organisers encourage you to grab a couple Jagerbombs and headbang to Undersmile and King Creature on Friday, plus Massive Wagons and a special acoustic set from Orphaned Land on Saturday. If you’re necks are still intact by Sunday, be sure to catch Rabid Bitch of the North and The Heretic Order.

.

A string of bands for the festival’s New Blood Stage are the last to accompany this bulletin. Impressing the powers that be with their CD submissions, BOA welcomes No Sin Evades His Gaze on Friday, Born of the Jackal on Saturday, and Today the Sun Dies on Sunday. The ‘Metal 2 The Masses’ Plymouth heat winner Warcrab join the bill on Saturday, and Sunday’s New Blood stage welcome the Channel Islands’ victor, Byzanthian Neckbeard and the Dublin’s heat champions, Psykosis.

.

With the three headliners confirmed for 2014, the event is shaping up to be killer. Friday night’s bill toppers are NOLA kings, Down. Joining them to close proceedings on Saturday are black metal legends Emperor, and to play us out on Sunday are thrash titans Megadeth. Other acts billed so far include Carcass, Primordial, Lacuna Coil, Amon Amarth, Obituary, Crowbar, Hatebreed, Prong, Children Of Bodom, Saxon, Primordial, Decapitated, Flotsam & Jetsam, Biohazard, Revamp, Orphaned Land, Aborted, Rotting Christ, Satan, Sister Sin and many more! Further band announcements are to follow shortly, so watch this space!
