Sepultura, the Brazillian/American thrash metal legends, have started work on the follow-up to 2011’s critically acclaimed ‘Kairos’. The release is as of yet untitled and is the first to feature new drummer Eloy Casagrande, who has been with the band since late 2007. The album is scheduled (tentatively) to drop at the end of 2013 on Nuclear Blast Records.
Eloy is on track to become a drumming legend, having won the Modern Drummer “Undiscovered Drummer” contest in 2006, when he was just a teenager. Singer Derrick Green commented that the band have immediately felt a connection with him and that his youth and energy brings something great to the band. His predecessor, Jean Dolabella, left the band as he wanted to spend more time at home.
