Legendary doom metal instigators Saint Vitus have announced May 2014 US tour dates for the band’s 35th anniversary, performing the album Born Too Late in its entirety alongside other hits.
Saint Vitus helped to define the parameters of the doom metal box in the early ‘80s with other bands like Pentagram and Trouble. The album Born Too Late, released in 1986, was the first with vocalist Scott “Wino” Weinrich. The anniversary celebration will start in Albuquerque, New Mexico on 8 May 2014 and wrap up in Dallas, Texas on 25 May, check out all the dates here. Joining Saint Vitus on this tour will be Portland stoner rockers Sons of Huns.
In addition, Saint Vitus have been signed up for Damnation Fest on 1 November 2014 at Leeds University Union with Bolt Thrower and Raging Speedhorn.
