ROOT’S 9TH ALBUM AVAILABLE

Czech dark metal lords Root have announced the release of their new, ninth studio album ‘Heritage of Satan’ via Agonia Records. As the band reveals, it includes “10 tracks that fulfil the promise of a blackened relief, curiosity of a soulless adventure and master plan of the Eastern European metalmids. Anxiety, depravation, ecstatic moments of rapture – just press play”.

The cover art for the release was drawn by Erik Danielsson of Watain who also, next to Behemoth’s Nergal and Rune “Blasphemer” Eriksen (ex-Mayhem, Ava Inferi, Aura Noir), made a guest appearance for the album.

Root was founded in Brno back in 1987 and has been active ever since. The band’s singer Jiří “BigBoss” Valter is also the founder of The Church Of Satan in Czechoslovakia.

One track off “Heritage of Satan” is available for streaming at Agonia’s official Facebook profile HERE.
