OFF! TOUR CANCELLED DUE TO DIABETIC COMA

The hardcore/punk outfit OFF!, featuring members of Circle Jerks, Black Flag, and Burning Brides, have announced that their February west coast tour with Negative Approach has been cancelled.  Following a trip to Australian in January, frontman Keith Morris slipped into a diabetic coma briefly, requiring him to remain at home to fully recover.

Via an article posted by The Vancouver Sun, Morris had commented to Rolling Stone magazine “I’m a diabetic and I failed to eat lunch.  [I] Came back, hung out with my girlfriend, and the whole idea was that we were going to do what grown-ups do– go take a nap and go get something to eat. I should have eaten first. So we did what we did, and I passed out. As I passed out, I actually blacked out and went into a diabetic-induced coma. So I’m kind of like the T-shirt that’s been sitting in the dryer for three days.”

The tour was initially schedule to start in San Diego, CA on 7th February and end ten days later in Denver, Colorado.  A posting on the official OFF! website indicates that refunds are available at the point of ticket purchase.  There is no mention of any plans to reschedule the tour, only a statement from the band saying “We look forward to performing in these cities in the near future.”

Thanks for dropping in!
