Polish progressive black metal heads Northwail have now self-released their sophomore full-length album “Cold Season”.
In an exclusive comment for ZT the band reveal: “This album forced us to shed a massive amount of blood and sweat. This was the most demanding, exausting and complicated production process so far but the final result lived up to our quite high expectations. Hereby we bring you a piece of dark, technical, brutal, yet atmospheric music inspired by vast diversity of genres. Spanning from progressive soundscapes of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin to dark nad epic tunes of Emperor and twisted pieces of Akercocke, “Cold Season” brings you a musical treat that will constantly suprise you and won’t give you a chance to get bored. So what is inside? Five tracks for a total of 51 minutes of progressive death/black metal madness with drums produced by Arkadiusz “Aro” Jabłoński (Shadows Land, Masachist) and the final product mixed and mastered by one of the top Polish metal producers – Szymon Czech, who also produced records from killer bands like Vesania, Christ Agony, Unsun, Riverside and more. Right now we are focusing on promoting the new album and broadening our fanbase. Thus far you can buy “Cold Season” through US label Paragon Records and we are still looking for more distributors”.
