Atmospheric sound sculptors Lantlôs have announced their new album Melting Sun will be released on 2 May 2014 (13 May for North America) via Prophecy Productions. A new track ‘Melting Sun I: Azure Chimes’ is now streaming.

Before Deafheaven’s elegant Sunbather LP, there was a genre-blending gateway through Lantlôs and their 2nd full length titled .Neon, a post-rock/black metal/shoegaze instant classic released in 2010, with Neige (from Alcest) contributing vocals.

Now 2014, Lantlôs’ Melting Sun (Neige is no longer in the band) is filled with color, clean vocals, hazy rock, and a noble influence of “total isolation”. Listen to the new track ‘Melting Sun I: Azure Chimes’ and preorder the album right here. One of the various packages available includes a 48-page book with artwork by Pascal Hauer.

In addition, Prophecy has just repressed .Neon on clear vinyl and it is available here. And, as of 27 February 2014, the Lantlôs official webstore is open with proceeds going directly to the band.
