It’s hard to think of any superlatives that haven’t been used to describe Neurosis – but needless to say, they are one of the most influential bands in the history of metal, and have been producing impeccable music for longer than many of their fans have been alive. Although their 30th anniversary is technically this year, 2016 will see the band celebrate their long and illustrious career in the form of a select number of special shows. First up will be two dates in San Francisco (4-5th March), followed by the band playing TWO nights at the legendary Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands (16-17th April)
The band will delve deep into their back catalogue – they haven’t played anything released prior to 1996’s Through Silver in Blood for four years, and songs from their first two records, Pain of Mind and The Word as Law, haven’t featured on setlists for decades. Songs from more recent records will feature as well. Ticket news to follow in due course.
