MORTA SKULD RETURN WITH FIRST ALBUM IN 20 YEARS

rsz_1mortaskuldReturning Wisconsin death metallers Morta Skuld will unleash their first full-length recording in 20 years in February 2017.

Wounds Deeper Than Time will be released by Peaceville Records, with whom the band released three albums during the early 1990s, including the essential Dying Remains in 1993. And although band founder Dave Gregor is the only survivor of Morta Skuld’s original incarnation, we’re promised a suitably traditional take on death metal replete with “power and brutality”.

Comments Dave Gregor: “This album brings an old school death metal feel with a degree of technicality. The new lineup brings a fresh feel but still in the Morta Skuld vein and the songs / vocals are a fine continuation of the Surface album we did years ago. This is definitely the strongest lineup we have had, and can’t wait ‘til you all can hear what we have been working so hard on for the last year.”
