Morbus Chron, the new light of Swedish death metal (and hotly tipped over the past months by ZT’s own editor, Nathan T. Birk, as a Release Of 2014 contender) give us a first glimpse into their new album, Sweven. Sweven is due for release in Europe on February 24th on CD, LP (including 12-page booklet) and as a digital download via Century Media Records.
Morbus Chron were formed in Stockholm in 2007 and their debut album, 2011’s Sleepers In The Rift, was a vigorous breath of old-school death metal executed marvellously. In support of their upcoming second full-length, Sweven, the band has launched the track ‘It Stretches In The Hollow’ through the Century Media SoundCloud page. But you can listen to it here if you like:

To promote Sweven, Morbus Chron will join forces with Necrowretch for a short trek in Northern Europe throughout March (tour dates below). On April 5th the band will head to Gothenburg to perform with locals, label mates and gloriously disgusting Miasmal (new album to be released in April), joined by other locals, newcomers Vampire (new album to be released in March). “On that special night, death and darkness will be omnipresent,” so we’re told.
