From the moment they announced plans of a new Morbid Angel record it was clear the title would begin with the letter ‘I’. It’s no secret that Morbid Angels discography is alphabetic and they have finally shed some more light on the upcoming release. Illud Divinum Insanus will be the title and the release date has been set as June 6th (7th for North America). Illud Divinum Insanus will be Morbid Angel’s 8th studio album and the first since Dave Vincent rejoined the fold.
As a teaser for the album, a 7″ single and digital download of the track Nevermore will be released on May 16th. Morbid Angel have played this track at numerous shows over the past few years, many of which can be seen on youtube. The B side of the single will contain another track from the new album, but remixed by cyber-goths Combichrist.
