MAGMA RISE IN THE MAZE

Hungarian stoner/doom metalheads MAGMA RISE have announced their second full-length album. The band, featuring ex-members of Mood, Wall Of Sleep, Stereochrist and Neck Sprain, are aiming for an Autumn recording session.

Bassist and vocalist Gábor Holdampf issued Zero Tolerance with the following statement: “We are working on a new material called “The man in the maze”. We had a line up change 3 months ago, guitarplayer and long time friend Sanyi Füleki (Mood, Wall of sleep) joined the band. This is a very special line up at the moment, because all three former founders of our “old” band MOOD are on the board. This means the old twin guitar massacre will be back again.
We have a plan for a special project, too. We will work with Brian “Butch” Balich (the singer of the legendary Penance from Pittsburgh USA, now in Argus) on a Trouble song “Pray for the dead”. The song will be released with a brand new Magma Rise tune on a “7 later this year. This is the next step for us for the near future.
The new album will be recorded in August/September I think. You can expect a heavy doomy stuff with a lot of guitar harmonies… it will be a Thin Sabbath or Black Lizzy stuff”.

Upcoming Magma Rise live dates include:
April 19 – Club Rampa, Goleniów – Poland
April 20 – Musikjugendhaus Hausen, Frankfurt am Main – Germany
April 21 – Gaswerk, Winterthur – Switzerland
