KREATOR RELEASE “PHANTOM ANTICHRIST” VIDEO

German thrash kings KREATOR have just released a music video for the title track of their forthcoming new album, “Phantom Antichrist.”  Directed by Grupa 13, who has previously directed videos for Behemoth and Decapitated, Kreator vocalist/guitarist Mille Petrozza commented that “The most apocalyptic video in the history of Kreator is here!”

Further commenting on the video, Petrozza stated: “The clips produced by Grupa 13 are groundbreaking visual trips that justify the existence of music videos in this day and age. In support of the lyrical concept of our new album, I could not think of a better creative solution than a collaboration with these great visionaries.”

The video can be view on YouTube here.

Taking roughly one year to fully write and rehearse, Petrozza commented about “Phanton Antichrist” to Suicide Scriptures saying that “We made sure that it contains all the trademarks that we’re known for — crushing brutality, riffs that are very hard to play, lyrics that talk about things that I get angry about. You know, the full treatment, basically. We didn’t try to do anything different. The only goal that we set for the band was we wanted to top everything that we’d done before and make this record an exciting record. That’s always the main goal.”

“Phantom Antichrist,”the 13th studio album by this long-running thrash powerhouse, is set to be released on 1st June in Europe and 5th June in North America, both via Nuclear Blast Records.  This album not only promises to be another brutal staple in the Kreator discography, but will also have different formats for record collectors.  Not only can shoppers find the standard jewel case CD release, but the album will also be released as a 2 LP vinyl set in both yellow and picture disc formats, as well as a limited edition CD/DVD set.

Additionally, two extra formats will be released in limited numbers, exclusively through www.nuclearblast.de/shop.  These two additional formats include a 2 LP vinyl set in red/black, limited to 500 hand-numbered copies, as well as a metallic box set that includes the CD/DVD edition with a t-shirt, an exclusive “Live in Wacken” CD, a poster, and a signing card.  This box set will also be limited to 500 hand-numbered copies.

Currently, the single for the song “Phantom Antichrist” is available on a 7 inch vinyl that includes the title track along with a cover of Iron Maiden’s “Number of the Beast.”
