UK black metal lunatics The Meads Of Asphodel have joined forces with Tjolgtjar from Illinois for a shared release. The split album is set to see the light of day on 2 June 2015 with the help of Eternal Death Records.
The Meads Of Asphodel from Hertfordshire formed in 1998 and, in a blizzard of five full-length albums and many demos, EPs and splits (with names that include Mayhem, Taake and Sigh so far), have perfected the art of demented music that resembles black metal. Tjolgtjar, the solo endeavour of one Reverend JR Preston, also started its path in 1998 and is the instrument for the Reverend to explore paths to black metal via garage psychedelic sounds.
The two experimental groups have joined forces for a split album (“dream come true” for Tjolgtjar) under the banned of Eternal Death Records. The tracklist is:
The Meads Of Asphodel:
- An Ebullient Prelude to a Loathsomely Grim End
- Chidiok Tichborne
- You’ve Got Hate
- Balthasar Gerard
- Infidel
Tjolgtjar:
- The 5th Mass and Her Works
- Near You Always
- A Goat in the Wood
- Winter Research
Test presses are on their way to Eternal Death Records.
