INAUGURAL F.O.A.D. FEST BOASTS IMPRESSIVE EARLY LINE-UP

New Manchester-based festival, F.O.A.D. Fest, slated for March 2014, announces an already solid line-up, with more acts to be confirmed soon.

The idea of the festival came about when like-minded people from CLDH, Submerge and Misanthropy promotions saw there was a gap in the market for an event like this in Manchester.

Organiser Mike Collins comments on the background and beginnings of the festival: “We could see that no one was doing much in Manchester that really had their heart in it, so we decided to start putting on the music we love… with the festival, we couldn’t see why Manchester didn’t have something pretty fucking big already so we decided to do it… The aim is also to give some up and coming bands from far and wide the exposure they deserve with some of the established names about the UK”.

This weekend saw six new bands added to the bill: Zombified, Mother Corona, Abrahma, Wode and Wort.

Coupled with already confirmed acts, such as grind punks Extreme Noise Terror, Swedish deathsters Entrails, local black metallers Winterfylleth and gore legends Necrophagia, as Sunday night’s headliner, the festival is shaping up to be an event that should not be missed!

F.O.A.D. Fest takes place on 1 & 2 of March 2014, at the Manchester Sound Control. Further event information can be found here, with tickets available for purchase at the following page.
