Brooklyn progressive sludge rockers HULL have just released an out of the ordinary record through their own label and are looking at a European tour with Elder this coming April.
The one song seven-inch vinyl titled Legend Of The Swamp Goat was co-released on 14 February 2014 via Iron Orchestra Works (owned and operated by HULL) and Midnite Collective. The record is available in five different colors with a digital download and the B-side being an etching of the swamp goat artwork by Nathan Overstrom.
HULL quotes: “Back in 2007 we wrote and recorded Swamp Goat. It got lost in the shuffle of working on our debut full length, Sole Lord, and a rigorous tour schedule. We finally decided to release it, so our guitarist, Nicholas Palmirotto, retracked some of the guitars, tracked the vocals, and we mixed and mastered it with Elliot Hoffman of Car Bomb. Our good friend Nathan Overstrom did an amazing job hand drawing the cover and our guitarist, Carmine Laietta, did the layout while Ryan Avery of Midnite Collective did the font and insert. It was a collaborative, DIY effort that we are very proud of.”
In addition, HULL are hitting Europe throughout April for live gigs with Boston heavy psych band Elder. HULL start off the tour at the mighty Roadburn festival on 10 April and then will continue with Elder and finish up at Desertfest in London on the 27 April 2014.
