Home Of Metal Launches Digital Archive

Home Of Metal, the celebration of Birmingham and the Black Country as the founding place of all things metal, is launching a digital archive and is giving metal fans everywhere the opportunity to make a contribution. Images, stories, memorabilia, sound files and film footage of iconic West Midlands bands, namely Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Napalm Death and Godflesh, are being sought. The digital archive is particularly looking for items such as tickets, photos, badges, album covers, tshirts, demo tapes, fan letters, zines, flyers, lyrcis, press cuttings, set lists, posters and promo materials, all of which can be uploaded at www.homeofmetal.com. The uploaded material will help to shape a series of exhibitions planned for 2011.
