Infamous Canadian death metal group, Gorguts, are set to release a mouth watering vinyl box set, consisting of demo work that ranges from their formative years in the early ‘90s up to their legendary 1998 album, Obscura.
.
This release is in collaboration with fellow native vinyl label, War On Music Records, who had the following to say about the box set, “Gorguts need no introduction. This massive Demo Anthology holds over 2 hours of raw intricate death metal, includes the legendary 1990 Demo on a high fidelity 45rpm 12” LP; both the 1991 Considered Dead demo tapes and the 1992 Erosion of Sanity demos in full; and the 3 rare Obscura demo tapes from ’93, ’94 and ’95 in the years after Erosion, containing early incarnations of the songs that would eventually comprise the groundbreaking 1998 masterpiece”.
.
All of this work has never been released on vinyl before, so all budding collectors take note. The anthology is split across three separate volumes and can be purchased individually (each limited to 500 copies). The full box set, which features new artwork from Dan Seagrave himself, is also limited to 500 copies. The box set contains: all 3× 12” LPs & 7” on limited colour vinyl (200 white / 100 silver), plus 24×24 colour poster featuring the artwork of Dan Seagrave. The first 100 box set pre-orders will also include a bonus cassette reproduction of the 1990 demo tape, with original artwork!
