Open for less than half a year, leading German record shop Metal & Hell was vandalised days before the Nuclear War Now! festival by members of Antifa. The shop, which is located on Grünberger Strasse in Berlin was forced to close after the windows were smashed and the front was covered in black spray paint. The attack was carried out during an Antifa demonstration. Despite the shop stocking records of left-wing artists such as Napalm Death and Pisschrist, it was allegedly targeted for selling NS related material by Satanic Warmaster and Graveland. A blog post supporting the Silvio-Meier-demo had this to say: “The very ambiguity practiced here in the overall picture reflects the vague nature of a particular type of metal fans who do not care who they attend concerts together, or where they buy their records. ” No details have emerged as to whether the shop will re-open.
