Trying to get under the skin of Gaerea is no easy ask, not least due to the face coverings that they seemingly never travel without. The Portuguese performers are joining Gaahls Wyrd, Saor and Winterfylleth for an extensive Euro tour, which includes a stopover at The Garage in London on October 19.

With an EP and two albums to their name, Gaerea have breathed new fire into the underground scene with Mirage set to further expand their fanbase. The album delves into the darkest psyche of the human mind, the band saying: “The concept, the subject, of each song is everyone, you, me . . . if people were alone together in Limbo, in Mirage they are truly alone. Nobody is truly real until they are alone.”
