There isn’t a fan of extreme music out there who hasn’t heard of Anaal Nathrakh, the blackened grind brainchild of Dave Hunt (Benediction) and Mick Kenny (Bleeding Through). Fans rejoice, as yesterday they released ‘Todos Somos Humanos’ off of their latest album ‘Vanitas’ for free streaming on Soundcloud.
‘Vanitas’ is Nathrakh’s ninth studio album and was released on Candlelight records on 15 October 2012 in the UK and Europe – folks around the world will have to wait another month, so I suggest rubbing it in – and has been well received by critics and fans alike.
One reviewer describes ‘Vanitas’ as “a morbid form of visual art that prominently features objects such as skulls and rotting fruits, and the moral behind it is that of the ‘transience of life, the futility of pleasure, and the certainty of death’. In other words, it is visual Buddhism.”
This release comes at the same time as the announcement of a UK tour including London’s Electrowerkz on 30 November 2012; given the ferocity of their show at Bloodstock 2012, this is a welcome announcement for moshers anywhere.
The song is available to listen to here on Decibel Magazine’s website: Decibel Magazine.
