Exclusive: Polish extreme metalheads Hell-Born premiere ‘Axis Of Decay’ from new album

It took Baal Ravenlock (vocals, bass) and Les (guitars) twelve years to craft a successor to their 2008 released Darkness album, but now Natas Liah is ready to be unleashed via Odium Rex in January 2021. With ‘Axis Of Decay‘ the Polish black and death warriors showcase the power of old-school extreme metal.

Those who know their way around the Polish black metal scene will no doubt remember that Baal Ravenlock and Les were two (founding) members of the now (in)famous Behemoth and showed their craftmanship, among other releases, on the second album Grom. Since 1996, however, both musicians have also been active in their own band Hell-Born with which they have released five albums up to 2008, before things went quiet.

But now Hell-Born return with their sixth album Natas Liah which will see the light of day via Odium Rex in January 2021. It fills us with great joy that we may premiere the first single ‘Axis Of Decay’ from their coming album in form of a lyric video!

Without having to resort to simple speed attacks, Hell-Born attack with grumbling vocals, crushing drums, as well as subtle melodies and, therefore, illustrate their unique way of playing old school extreme metal in the year 2020. “Axis Of Decay” also introduces neo-drummer Diabolizer (Deathvasstator) – who joined during the year 2019 – to the flock.

Hell-Born recorded Natas Liah in the Creme De La Creme Studio together with producer Haldor Grunberg who is, among others, famous for working on Behemoth’s I Loved You At Your Darkest and Blaze Of Perdition’s The Harrowing Of Hearts. Also, the Polish extreme metalheads have a special surpise up their sleeves – mastermind Nergal of Behemoth recorded some guest vocals for the coming album as you can clearly gather from the studio pic below.

Pre-orders for the coming album Natas Liah is already possible via the webshop of Odium Rex. The album will be released on CD and vinyl as well as a diehard version. More info about the band can be found on their Facebook page.
