Defleshed return with more bump ‘n’ Grind

With Halloween fast approaching, what better time could there be for a new album from Defleshed! The Swedish death metal crusaders today release Grind Over Matter, via Metal Blade Records.

Even better, we’re delighted to be able to share with you right here the video for the track ‘Heavy Haul’. “This is our most ambitious video to date, ” says Defleshed vocalist Gustaf Jorde. “It’s made to play loud so crank it up – don’t hold it down!”

Grind Over Matter was tracked at Rorysound Studios, Uppsala, Sweden, with Lawrence Mackrory, with two weeks devoted to drums, another two for guitar and bass and two three-day sessions for vocals. “It was pretty straightforward, the hardest part was to not get carried away by impulsive ideas too much, but stay put to the original plan,” says Jorde.

The Swedes called it a day in 2005 after a decade in which they released five albums, starting off with Abrah Kadavrah in 1996. Their return will be welcomed by the many fans of their searing Scandi thrash/death mix.

Even better they return with original line-up of guitarist Lars Löfven, drummer Matte Modin and bassist/vocalist Gustaf Jorde.
