Following announcements late last week that Cynic had split up and all shows were off due to “artistic and personal differences” cited by drummer Sean Reinert, news is just in via the band’s label Season Of Mist confirming that the remaining members will soldier on to headline the Euroblast Festival in Cologne, Germany on October the 3rd as previously scheduled.
Thanks is extended to “the loyal fans, promoters, agents and others, working on behalf of the band to make this concert happen. It will sadly be the only performance that was salvageable from Cynic’s European tour, which was cancelled without the band’s consensus by a single member last week.”
In case you’re wondering, the confirmed lineup is as follows:
Paul Masvidal: guitar, vocals
Sean Malone: bass
Matt Lynch: drums
Cynic will be performing in support of their latest album Kindly Bent To Free Us (2014), which is available in various formats from the Season of Mist shop, and to listen to in full at this location.
