San Diegan bruisers Cattle Decapitation have announced the title of their 5th studio offering for Metal Blade ‘Monolith of Inhumanity’ due for release in Europe May 7th. To coincide with this, the first single from said record, ‘A Living Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat’, is up online and available to stream via Metal Blade.
All the elements that make up a typical Cattle Decapitation release are present on ‘Monolith…’ with a few extras further adding to the formula of its predecessor ‘The Harvest Floor’. The band recruited seasoned producer Dave Otero to add his expertise in the studio and if ‘A Living Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat’ is anything to go by, the rest of the pro-vegetarian misanthropes’ new record is going to be an absolute behemoth!
In traditional ‘Cattle’ style, the bands artwork will also be a focal point with Wes Benscoter again handling creative duties. In addition to this the band have teamed up with Tom Bunk, (one of the famed pop culture artists who contributed to the Garbage Pail Kids trading cards) to create a fairly unique and gore soaked project, that will be available for purchase via the bands web store.
