Canadian heavy/doom metallers CAUCHEMAR will hit the road for their first European tour in support of their mini-album “La Vierge Noire”, released by Nuclear War Now! Productions in 2010.


The ‘Rites Lunaire’s tour will start on April 20 in Berlin, Germany, and will visit 18 cities in eight European countries, including the legendary Keep it True (Germany) and Muskelrock (Sweden) festivals – sharing the stage with cult bands such as MANILLA ROAD, OZ, GRIM REAPER, HELL, SLOUGH FEG and newer acts such as THE DEVIL’S BLOOD, BLACK OATH, WARHAMMER, NECROWRETCH, BLACK SALVATION, AMULET and CHILDREN OF DOOM.

Cauchemar are also currently writing material for their debut full-length album. Vocalist Annick Giroux (otherwise know as the author of the “Hellbent for Cooking” books) reveals: “Myself and guitarist François Patry have been traveling the world for more than a year now, during which we have played concerts in Colombia, Chile, Peru and India. We have written the songs for the upcoming Cauchemar album in rehearsal studios during our long journey. Featuring powerful Heavy Metal songs with a doomy vibe and French lyrics, the album will be released in 2013 by San Francisco label Nuclear War Now! Productions”.
