Burzum’s Kristian ‘Varg’ Vikernes is attempting to sue the French Police for his and his wife Marie Cachett’s treatment. Vikernes and his wife were arrested 16th July near Brive-la-Gaillarde (France) on the grounds they were “going to prepare for a massacre” after Vikernes’ wife had recently, legally purchased four rifles. In a post on his blog Vikernes commented:
“We want to sue the authorities for arresting us for no good reason whatsoever, doing so in the most brutal way possible and with children present, and also for without any reason taking away our right to own or even possess weapons,”
Varg’s by now infamous association with Pagan nationalism, right-wing extremism and anti-Semitism; along with his often highly controversial and racist postings, was also a factor in his arrest; he had also received a copy of Anders. B Breivik’s manifesto, although he had criticised Breivik’s actions, calling him a “Christian loser” as well as a “European’ Zionist” in an online posting.
Vikernes, who was released from prison in 2009 having served 15 years of a 21 year sentence for the murder of Øystein ‘Euronymous’ Aarseth (as well as church burnings in Norway) has asked for donations to allow him and his wife to sue the French Police.
