With the inaugural edition of Blastfest being such a success (held this past February), the organisers wasted no time in shaping up the 2015 instalment. Just over a month ago the first wave of bands were announced and yesterday the already bulging bill was added to. If this momentum keeps up, the event is surely set to be a blaze in the northern sky!
.
The line-up for next year already includes the likes of Bergen’s Tsjuder, Craft from Sweden, ‘Alfapocalyptic rockers’ Alfahanne, Endstille, Destruction, Demilich, Sarke, Impaled Nazarene, a twenty year anniversary set by Borknagar and Gothenburg legends At The Gates. With such acts confirmed, one may think things couldn’t get much better? Well, that would just be plain silly, as this next batch of bands goes to show.
.
After a recent display at Bergen’s Beyond The Gates festival, Irish celtic/pagan metal heroes Primordial shall be making a return to Hordaland! With their atmospheric live performances being particularly select and exclusive these days, this is a great addition to the bill! Joining them are classic German death metallers, Morgoth, who promise to bring their cursed sound to the Bergen shores, for the first time. In addition, further adding to the line-up’s Finnish contingent, are pagan/folk-tainted black metallers, Moonsorrow, and extreme folk troupe, Finntroll.
.
In-keeping with their philosophy of supporting newer up-and-coming acts, the festival will be welcoming the black metal of fellow Norwegians, Tortorum and Djevelkult, to the stage! Both bands have been going since 2010 and should be fired up to spew forth their misanthropic blasphemies on Bergen. Completing this round up are sludge/post-hardcore act Crib45 (also from Finland!), who show great promise of making a real impact on the metal scene.
.
It must be said, booking those tickets to Norway in February is starting to look rather tempting!
.
Blastfest is set to take place in Bergen, Norway from 19 – 21 February 2015. With 9 stages and 45 bands on offer, as well as a tattoo convention, stand-up comedy, exhibitions, clinics and much more, it looks to be an action-packed weekend! For further information, check out the following link.

More announcements shall be made soon, so watch this space!
