AUSTIN PSYCH FEST BOOKS SOME HEAVY ROCK

The first round of bands confirmed to play has been announced for the 2014 Austin Psych Fest in Texas, and it includes some ultra-hip gloss eye heaviness.

For those of you with a cosmic attitude, some bands scheduled to perform are Acid Mother’s Temple, the classic metal fusion of Kadavar, hypno-groove from Earthless and White Hills, and the “French punkadelic occult rock” of Aqua Nebula Oscillator – just to name a few for the three-days-in-May centre of the universe.

On austinpsychfest.com it says the gathering “has become the world’s premiere showcase of psychedelic rock,” and it “works to promote and create fertile ground for artistic expression through music and visual art.”

In addition to weekend passes, there is camping, deluxe camping rentals, and RV spots now available for purchase.  For more information and to see the rest of the initial lineup, go to the fest’s website right here. And check back in early 2014 for more bands being added; they’re not done yet.
