KANSAS-CITY DEATH THRASHERS ARES KINGDOM have announced the participation of Sigh-keyboarder Mirai Kawashima on their upcoming ‘all-covers’ release ‘Veneration’. The collection, filled with cover-songs that “represent a cross-section of Ares Kingdom’s influences , as well as a couple of songs from their previous bands, Vulpecula and Nepenthe”, is due via Nuclear War Now! Productions on CD and vinyl early 2012.
Kawashima is set to compose and record an original keyboard-intro for the Vulpecula song ‘Celestial’. Guitarist Chuck Keller commented, “Mirai is one of the most accomplished musicians in the underground today. I was proud to contribute a solo to ‘The Memories as a Sinner’ on Sigh’s 2007 album, ‘Hangman’s Hymn,’ and we’re honored he’s returning the favor for AK.”
