Having scored an amazing 5.5/6 in a ZT review (sporting a “future of English death metal”-tag), Ancient Ascendant are truly on the ascent to the utmost metal zenith. Quickly becoming the go-to-band for the big tours on these shores, they are set to support Enslaved’s UK tour in March/April, followed up by another trek with Hypocrisy. Front-man Alex Butler is understandably chuffed:
