ALESTORM DROP THEIR BOOTY

It’s been quite some time since we had cause to mention Alestorm following metal’s flirtation with their brand of pirate metal. Whether they’re your jug of ale or not, they’ve carved something of a niche for themselves, if not definitively in the UK, certainly across the globe in susceptible regions…

So it’s high tide (see what we did there) we gave Captain Morgan and his crew a bit of an airing on their return from their trip to Australia, which, according to their label, sees “huge treasure in the belly of their ship” in the form of their Live At The End Of The World mediabook release documenting their “highly energetic” Melbourne show which took place in early 2013.

Live at the End of the World sees Chris Bowes and band present their fans with a ‘best of’ set, including such merry jigs as ‘Keelhauled’, ‘Shipwrecked’ and ‘Nancy The Tavern Wench’. It also includes extensive bonus material in the form of a tour documentary and the full concert on a bonus audio CD.

A possible Xmas gift for friend or foe depending on how you feel about pirate metal? You can check out the teaser below and pre-order a copy here.
