No matter how sunny BLOODSTOCK is in August, black metal icon Abbath will darken the mood when he steps onto the Ronnie James Dio main stage on the Saturday. The legendary Norwegian has answered the call following DevilDriver’s unfortunate withdrawal due to ongoing health issues around frontman Dez Fafara.
This will be Abbath’s first time at Bloodstock since he graced the stage with Immortal’s headline slot in 2011. Abbath declares: “We’re really looking forward to be coming back to the UK to shake the Bloodstock foundation. It’s been way too long!”
You can tune into a full stream of latest release Dread Reaver, out now via Season Of Mist, and here’s the video for the track ‘Dream Cull’.
With Nonpoint also dropping out, further lineup news is that the imperious Bossk are moving up the Sophie Lancaster stage bill to takeover their slot.
There will also be an opportunity to get the very latest Bloodstock news through a Facebook Live session, next Thursday, 6 April at 7pm. Easter goodies make this one not to miss!
A limited number of Bloodstock day tickets are on sale now in the ticket store. Adult day tickets are £75 and if you’d like to make it a family day out, child day tickets are £25 (mini moshers under 4 can come for free), plus booking fees. VIP and campervan tickets are already sold out, but you can still get standard weekend tickets in the ticket store!
And here’s a taster of what to expect with the official festival trailer!
