In collaboration with our pals at Relapse Records, we’re pleased to give you the chance to listen to a release from one of the label’s brightest sparks. In its entirety, ladies and gentlemen, we give you Ritually Abused by Num Skull.
And if us recommending you give it a whirl doesn’t convince you, here’s what ZT’s Chris Kee had to say about the release in the current issue:
I remember this album coming out back in ’88, but I definitely don’t remember it being this good! There are loads of ‘forgotten gems’ getting the reissue treatment these days, but most of those ‘forgotten gems’ would be best off staying forgotten. Ritually Abused, however, is a true gem, a monstrously heavy, energy-infused beast of a thrash metal album. It’s a crying shame that these guys didn’t get the attention they deserved at the time, but hats off to Relapse for dragging Num Skull back into the spotlight. If you like your thrash vicious and packed with enough adrenaline to give you a heart attack, buy at your earliest convenience. Chris Kee [4.5/6]
