Xentrix set to return with new album Seven Words

Excited in the run-up to their new album’s release via Listenable Records, Xentrix guitarist Kristian Havard can’t hide how eager he is for people to hear their new album, commenting: “This LP is the culmination of the last two years of us experimenting and trying new ideas. It feels like a big step forward for the band, but without stepping away from our thrash metal past and I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

Like 2019’s comeback album Bury The Pain (which signalled an end to what turned into a 23-year hiatus following 1996’s Scourge), Seven Words is rounded off with input from Andy Sneap; mixing and mastering was completed at his Derbyshire-based Backstage Recording Studios. The album artwork also possesses all the ingredients of a classic thrash cover, and was taken care of by Dan Goldsworthy, who has created artwork for the likes of Accept, Corpsegrinder and Alestrom.

You’ll have to wait to hear it though as it’s set for release on 4 November this year. But we can reveal that Seven Words is made up of 11-tracks (the last being an exclusive CD bonus), and its tracklisting goes something like this:

  1. Behind The Walls Of Treachery (6:05)
  2. Seven Words (3:57)
  3. Spit Coin (4:11)
  4. The Alter of Nothing (4:00)
